Vertical Awnings

Vertical awnings provide substantial shade without the obstruction of vertical supports. Because of this lack of vertical support the mounting points against the wall need to be robust enough to support the relevant projection of the awning being mounted. Their design makes them a very convenient method of providing shade over areas such as decks, pools, barbeque areas etc. plus commercial applications.

The awning projects either horizontally or at a slight angle with extending arms with an action similar to a persons’ elbows and arms being extended. The awning is operated with a crank handle winding a gearbox arrangement at one end of the mounted roller. Where required it can also be activated using an electric motor.
